We komen hier toevallig terecht en eten hier. Wat een gezellig restaurant! De eigenaren zijn super aardig en het eten wat ik had was heerlijk. Leuke sfeer binnen en buiten en de plek in het dorpje Burgau is erg leuk en gezellig. Aanrader om eens heen te gaan, zeker als Nederlanders want de zuid-afrikaanse eigenaars en hun taal komt veel overeen met ons taaltje. 😉 ~ Andre V
I called ahead to reserve a table outside for me, my girlfriend, and our two dogs. When we arrived, our table was already prepared in a perfect spot with a reservation sign, and there was plenty of space for the dogs to relax comfortably. The staff was incredibly friendly and truly dog-friendly, making us feel very welcome. Service was excellent – the wine was delicious, the food came quickly, and the ribs I ordered were absolutely amazing. I’ve been to almost every place in Burgau, but this was my first time here – and from the very first moment it felt like somewhere I could come every day. As a local, I can honestly say this is TOP TOP – the best spot in Burgau. I’ll definitely recommend it to my clients and will be coming back very soon! ~ oskar t
Delicious food, charming atmosphere, kind and helpful staff. We ate here twice in our 4 days in Burgau. We thought it would be fun to try South African food while we had the chance and went for dinner. We were pretty late so they were sold out of their beef bobotie (a good sign, we thought), so we ordered the piri-piri chicken (we asked for spicy and didn’t regret it) and the ribs. Both were so flavorful and juicy so we decided to return for the bobotie on our last day before leaving (note they’re closed on Sat and Sun like many places in Burgau—appreciate the work life balance). It did not disappoint at all. Obviously a lot of care is put into the dishes and ingredients. On top of the delicious food and intimate outside seating, all of the staff on both visits were lovely. This place is worth a visit. We enjoyed it so much. ~ K B
Absolutamente delicioso! Visitei em Novembro .A combinação de frango e costeletas com batata frita e salada. (As batatas fritas são batatas frescas e cortadas à mão). O Frango é grelhado com um delicioso regado. Costelas que caem do osso. Melhor que tive em minhas viagens pela Europa. Finalizamos com Pudim de Malva e creme. Bom preço e administrado pelo proprietários. Obrigado Justino e Darlene... voltaremos em breve ~ Lucia C
Ce restaurant est une vraie perle dans ce magnifique village. On y va souvent avec amis et famille pour déguster les fameux spare ribs qui fondent dans la bouche avec sa délicieuse salade, de toute façon tout est tellement bon. Le service est tout simplement accueillant, chaleureux et professionnel. On y passe une soirée merveilleuse à chaque fois. ~ Celeste S
Mega edyllischer Ort am Fischermans Trail. Das Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich, sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Mitarbeiterin die auch deutsch sprechen konnte. Das Essen was ich hatte war mega mega lecker! Kartoffeln/ Kichererbsen/Curry/Ei kann ich nur jedem ans Herz legen. Alles in allem mega!! Danke schön an das Team für das leckere Essen und die entspannte Atmosphäre! Ach ja und preislich mehr als fair für das was wir hatten!! ~ David O
Heel leuk klein maar super gezellig restaurant met een chef en eigenaar uit S.A. de keuken is daarom een mix van Portugees en S.A. food We hebben we heerlijk gegeten, ook behoorlijk grote porties voor een klein bedrag, de werknemers zijn super vriendelijk en ook de koffie na was heel erg lekker. We gaan zeker terug. ~ Just M
Wir haben spontan einen Tisch bekommen. Wir mussten für unseren Geschmack etwas lange auf die Getränke warten, aber OK. Das Essen jedenfalls ist superlecker, sowohl das gegrillte Hühnchen als auch die Rippchen waren sehr lecker. Dazu kann man sich 2 Sides frei auswählen. Die normalen Portionen hier reichen für normale Esser völlig! ~ Matthias
El personal muy majo ,el restaurante lleno ,hemos cenado en la terraza unas hamburguesas muy buenas y las patatas entran con la hamburguesa,a nosotros no nos las han cobrado a parte ,nos cobraron lo que ponía en la carta,lo digo porque creo que alguien lo ha dicho en alguna reseña. ~ Ana
Service efficace , souriant et attentionné. Nous étions 7 avec des enfants, accueilli sans problème. Fish&chips délicieux, bon burger et plat typique d’Afrique du Sud très bon. Dessert un malava pudding à tomber. On y retournera avec plaisir. Merci ~ philippe D
J'ai pris à emporter pour 5 personnes, les burgers ont ravi tout le monde, produits frais et de qualité, viande super bien cuite, et très bonne, l'accueil a été adorable, le restau et la terrasse sont pitoresques (à côté d'une maison toute jaune), le lieu gagné vraiment à être connu. ~ E. G
Wir waren in Burgau und sind eher zufällig auf das Restaurant gekommen. Wir dachten uns wir probieren mal südafrikanisch aus. Im Innenbereich ist es leider sehr sehr eng, das hat der freundliche Service und das leckere Essen wett gemacht. Sehr zu empfehlen. Preislich auch absolut in Ordnung. ~ Lukas
This restaurant is a hidden gem in Burgau. We were welcomed like family with such warmth. My husband is a huge fan of peri peri chicken and it was worth the wait. It was very busy when we got there so i would highly recommend a reservation! The peri chicken was excellent and the Malva cake with custard was amazing! The cake is made fresh daily and the meal is made to order and you can specify spice level! The team at this establishment really cares and it was wonderful chatting to them. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food and a great atmosphere. ~ Anisha B
Wir waren heute im Aires. Die Kellnerin waren super freundlich und lustig drauf. Das Hähnchen war einfach ausgezeichnet lecker, etwas Schaf und saftig zugleich, zudem auch der Sangria einfach sehr sehr schmackhaft. Spiele jetzt schon mit dem Gedanken die nächsten Tage nochmal hin zu gehen. ~ TK
Sehr nettes kleines Lokal in einem ruhigen Seitengässchen von Burgau. Das Essen war ausgesprochen lecker (Piri-Piri und vegetarisches Boboti) und der Service freundlich und zuvorkommend. Haben uns hier wohlgefühlt und kommen sicher nochmal vor der Heimreise :-) ~ C. G
Enjoyed two meals here this week with a family of four. The restaurant is tucked away in a quiet spot and either outside or inside are pleasant. The food in my experience has been really good. The Bobotie is lovely while I thought the chicken and ribs were absolutely fantastic - the chicken in particular probably being the best I've eaten. The service is relaxed and friendly. Value is difficult to qualify but i'd say this is one of the better value restaurants in the area. I expect we'll be bending in a third visit before heading home. ~ Chris P

Travelling from SA, we had to find the time to visit Aires Restaurant. All four of us arrived to receive a warm welcome and a South African Hug. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service was on point. Now let’s talk about the ribs and chicken meal we received. It was cooked to perfection, ribs fell off the bone. We all finished our meal and ready to lick the plate😂 The owners engage with all the customers, the restaurant was fully booked. We left feeling like part of the Aires Family. ~ Allison B

Bijna niets mis mee heerlijk gegeten (angussteak en kip piripiri) vriendelijke bediening. Helaas zaten we er buiten op een winderige avond waardoor het in mei wat frisjes werd, verder niets dan lof! ~ Marten d
The best meal we've had in Burgau the chicken is typically portuguese yummy 😋 as for the ribs wow the best ribs I've ever had . My Dad ordered a steak and according to him it was melt in the mouth cooked to perfection The malva pudding it's also a must so scrumptious yet light. Elaine's friendly and bubbly personality made us feel like family. This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem💎 We WILL definitely be going back. Thank you for the lovely meal. ~ Ilda P
Super freundliches Service-Personal. Sehr familiäre Athmosphäre. Das(?) Beef-Bobotie und der Malvas-Dessert waren fantastisch. Preis-Leistung stimmt total. Eine Reservation ist zu empfehlen. Werden nächstes Jahr wieder kommen. ~ Joëlle H

Without any doubt one of the best meals we had in the Algarve (if not the best). The ribs were perfect on the point. And even though we were completely full after the ribs, we shared one Malva Pudding for two, just to try it because everyone said in the reviews how good it is. And it was just super delicious. The service staff was very nice and attentive. Everyone who passes by without visiting this place will definitely miss a highlight. Excellent restaurant! ~ Andreas G
